Program and Outreach Intern - Winter 2025
Job Description.

Search for events on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Eventbrite and social media outlets
-
Compile a list of events happening in NYC Area relevant to women running for office
-
Attend at least 3-4 events per week across New York City with sign up sheets and flyers
-
Promote Dare to Run as an organization, including our upcoming events and programs
-
Collect names, email addresses and telephone numbers and of people who may be interested in attending events
-
Report to board and ED monthly with information collected with a description of all relevant events and how the turnout was overall
-
Attend and provide support to the Executive Director and Board of Dare to Run as needed.
Requirements.

Must be outgoing, assertive and able to give an elevator pitch for Dare to Run
-
Must be comfortable with general public speaking and able to network.

Must have a flexible schedule and be able to attend events at a last minute notice
-
Must have an interest in the mission and vision of the organization and in getting women elected to public office
-
College student with marketing/event planning experience preferred

Job Responsibilities

Identify New Organizations whose missions align with those of Dare to Run
-
Set up Initial Zoom/Teams Meeting Calls with them to learn more about their organization and how their mission aligns with Dare to Run
-
Attend events hosted by partnering organization; bring Brochures and other program materials along with a sign-up sheet and share this information with their attendees
-
Attend tabling events hosted by these organizations if there is no cost to participate
-
Facilitate meetings between their partnership development staff and Dare to Run’s CEO to see if an MOU can be created whereby we can work together and host Dare to Run’s programs and partnering organization’s programs in tandem
-
Attend and take notes during meetings; share and discuss notes with Rachelle afterwards

Draft MOUs and partnership documents as necessary and submit to Rachelle for Review

Other duties and tasks as necessary pertaining to the role of business and development intern

Requirements.

Start Dates: Fall Internship: October 22nd through January 10th, 2025
Winter Internship: January 13th, 2025 through March 21, 2025
